Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the 2026 strategic foresight framework using horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future insights into product roadmaps and R&D priorities
- Produce quarterly 'Future State Briefings' for executive leadership and board members
- Establish partnerships with MIT Media Lab, World Economic Forum, and other future-focused institutions
- Manage the Innovation Radar system tracking 500+ emerging signals across biotech, AI, climate tech, and neuro interfaces
- Present at global conferences including CES and Davos to position Horizon Dynamics as a thought leader
- Mentor a team of futurist associates and innovation analysts
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or futures research with Fortune 500 exposure
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercialized products or services
- Expertise in systems thinking, complex adaptive systems, and second-order consequence modeling
- Published author or frequent speaker at futurism/innovation conferences
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful 5-10 year strategic foresight implementations
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, causal layered analysis, STEEP-V)
