Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 2026 technology roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Conduct horizon scanning and scenario planning to identify disruptive opportunities and threats
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite executives and board members with data-backed recommendations
- Establish partnerships with leading research institutions and government innovation labs
- Author white papers and thought leadership pieces on emerging tech trends
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets for prototype development and pilot programs
- Mentor junior futurists and build a world-class foresight capability
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, futurism, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of developing and implementing multi-year tech roadmaps
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI ethics, quantum algorithms, synthetic biology, or climate tech
- Published author or keynote speaker at top-tier tech conferences (TED, Web Summit, etc.)
- Advanced degree in relevant field (PhD/MSc preferred)
- Experience securing government grants or corporate innovation funding
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Portfolio of successful future-focused initiatives
