As a thought leader in our innovation lab, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives, research labs, and global partners to identify paradigm shifts, validate market opportunities, and commercialize breakthrough technologies. Your work will directly shape product roadmaps, investment strategies, and organizational evolution in an era of exponential change.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 innovation roadmap, identifying emerging tech trends with disruptive potential
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate future-facing solutions in AI, quantum computing, and biotech
- Conduct horizon scanning and scenario planning to anticipate market shifts and competitive threats
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and R&D centers
- Present future-state visions to executive stakeholders and board members
- Drive cultural adoption of innovation methodologies across 500+ employee organization
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget with ROI-focused resource allocation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D, or futurist roles within tech/consulting sectors
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Deep expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and technology adoption curves
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Experience managing cross-functional innovation teams and budgets >$3M
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., from World Future Society or similar)
