Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify breakthrough technologies with 2026+ market impact
- Develop strategic roadmaps for exponential technologies (quantum, AI, biotech) in partnership with C-suite
- Coordinate cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, engineering, and product teams
- Deliver executive briefings on future scenarios and disruption vectors to stakeholders
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and global innovation hubs
- Author thought leadership publications on industry evolution and societal implications
- Drive incubation of moonshot projects with $10M+ potential
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or advanced R&D leadership
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two exponential technology domains (AI/ML, quantum, synthetic biology)
- PhD or equivalent in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or relevant technical field
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Portfolio of published future scenarios or disruption analyses
- Experience with scenario planning frameworks and trend analysis methodologies
- Fluency in futures research tools (Delphi, Horizon Scanning, etc.)
