As a thought leader, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives, R&D pioneers, and venture partners to identify paradigm shifts before they enter mainstream consciousness. Your insights will directly influence product development, market entry strategies, and $500M+ investment portfolios.
Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning across 15+ emerging technology domains (quantum computing, neuro interfaces, climate tech)
- Develop annual Future Impact Reports with 3-year trend forecasts and risk matrices
- Facilitate executive workshops translating foresight into strategic priorities
- Partner with product teams to embed future-ready capabilities in roadmaps
- Represent Horizon Dynamics at global innovation forums (Davos, Web Summit, etc.)
- Build and mentor a cross-functional foresight network of 12+ specialists
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercial impact
- Deep expertise in at least two 2026-critical domains (AI ethics, decentralized systems, synthetic biology)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership (Harvard Business Review, MIT Tech Review, etc.)
- Certification in Futures Methodology (e.g., CFCS preferred)
- Experience building scenario planning frameworks for Fortune 500 clients
