Responsibilities
- Architect comprehensive 2026 technology strategy roadmap with 5-year vision alignment
- Identify and analyze emerging tech trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) for commercial viability
- Lead scenario planning workshops to prepare for disruptive market shifts
- Develop patentable innovation frameworks and intellectual property strategies
- Present strategic recommendations to executive board and investor stakeholders
- Manage $2M+ innovation budget and vendor ecosystem relationships
- Mentor junior futurists and build next-generation talent pipeline
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or futurist consulting
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Proven track record of launching technology roadmaps with measurable ROI
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies and disruptive innovation models
- Certified Futurist (CF) or similar foresight certification preferred
- Exceptional data storytelling and executive presentation skills
- Experience with scenario planning tools and horizon scanning methodologies
- Published thought leadership in tech innovation or futurism
