Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify disruptive trends, technologies, and paradigm shifts impacting 2026+ markets
- Develop scenario-based strategic frameworks for long-term organizational planning and risk mitigation
- Produce high-impact foresight reports and executive briefings translating complex data into actionable insights
- Partner with R&D teams to align innovation pipelines with future market needs and societal demands
- Design and facilitate cross-functional workshops to embed foresight methodologies across departments
- Build and maintain an ecosystem of futurists, technologists, and industry thought leaders
- Represent the company at global foresight forums and shape industry discourse on emerging futures
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 8 years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or futurist leadership roles
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Proven track record of translating foresight into tangible business strategies and outcomes
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., from APF or Foresight Practitioner Program)
- Published thought leadership in futures, technology, or innovation domains
