Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026+ strategic foresight framework through trend analysis, scenario planning, and horizon scanning
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify emerging technologies and societal shifts with business implications
- Translate complex future scenarios into executable roadmaps for product development and market positioning
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members with compelling data visualizations
- Build and maintain an external intelligence network of futurists, academics, and industry thought leaders
- Author quarterly futurist reports and publish thought leadership in top-tier industry publications
- Mentor a team of junior futurists and analysts to cultivate next-generation strategic thinking
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Business Analytics, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or futurist consulting with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and technology impact assessment methodologies
- Exceptional storytelling and data visualization skills with executive presentation experience
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and societal megatrends
- Published thought leadership in futurist publications or peer-reviewed journals
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or similar institution)
- Experience with futures forecasting tools and platforms (e.g., Foresight Platform, TrendHunter)
