Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment with precision
- Manage inventory control systems using WMS software and barcode scanners
- Coordinate efficient loading/unloading of freight trucks and containers
- Maintain accurate documentation of material movements and inventory counts
- Implement lean warehouse practices to optimize storage and retrieval processes
- Train and mentor junior material handling staff on safety protocols
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse/material handling experience
- Valid OSHA-certified forklift operator license
- Proficiency with WMS systems and barcode scanning technology
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Experience with hazardous materials handling (Hazmat certification a plus)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
