Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume inventory with precision using RF scanners and WMS systems
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Coordinate cross-functional logistics activities including receiving, stocking, and shipping
- Implement lean principles to optimize warehouse workflows and reduce waste
- Maintain accurate documentation and inventory control systems
- Train and mentor junior material handling staff
- Conduct daily equipment safety inspections and preventive maintenance checks
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse/material handling operations
- Forklift certification (OSHA-approved)
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong mathematical aptitude and inventory management skills
- OSHA 10-Hour certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and operate in climate-controlled environments
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Valid DC driver's license with clean record
