Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Accurately track and manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely material availability for assembly lines
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work environments through daily 5S practices
- Inspect and report equipment malfunctions to prevent operational disruptions
- Train junior staff on safety protocols and efficient handling procedures
- Optimize material flow routes to minimize handling time and maximize productivity
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse/material handling environments
- Certified forklift operator license (valid and current)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently and stand for extended periods
- Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle WMS)
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends during peak seasons
