Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and automated conveyor systems to move materials across 50,000 sq ft facility
- Execute inventory control procedures including cycle counts, audits, and real-time system updates
- Coordinate cross-functional material flow between receiving, storage, and shipping departments
- Maintain strict compliance with OSHA safety protocols and company quality standards
- Train junior handlers on equipment operation and warehouse best practices
- Process shipments using WMS systems, ensuring accurate documentation and labeling
- Implement lean principles to optimize material handling efficiency and reduce waste
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of material handling experience in warehouse or distribution setting
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with inventory accuracy track record
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Experience with temperature-controlled environments a plus
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends during peak seasons
