Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Manage inventory control systems and maintain accurate warehouse documentation
- Coordinate efficient loading/unloading of trucks using RF scanners and WMS software
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste
- Train junior staff on safety protocols and equipment operation
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Support cross-functional teams to meet production deadlines
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse/material handling experience
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners
- Strong attention to detail and ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Experience in high-volume distribution environments
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends if needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
