Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment with OSHA-certified precision
- Manage inventory control systems using WMS software to maintain 99.9% accuracy
- Coordinate cross-functional logistics activities between receiving, storage, and shipping departments
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize warehouse workflows and reduce waste
- Train junior staff on safety protocols and equipment operation standards
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through Kaizen events
Qualifications
- 3+ years of high-volume warehouse/material handling experience
- OSHA forklift certification and valid driver's license
- Proficiency with WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in varied temperature zones
- Strong mathematical skills for inventory reconciliation
- Experience with OSHA safety standards and incident reporting
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification a plus
