Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move, load, and unload inventory with precision
- Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS systems and barcode scanning technology
- Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Coordinate with shipping/receiving teams to meet daily operational targets
- Implement lean principles to optimize warehouse layout and workflow efficiency
- Train junior staff on safety protocols and material handling best practices
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse/material handling environments
- Certified forklift operator license (OSHA preferred)
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Basic math skills for inventory reconciliation
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience with automated conveyor systems a plus
