Responsibilities
- Prioritize and pack high-volume orders with 99.9% accuracy using advanced scanning systems
- Operate automated packaging equipment while maintaining OSHA safety standards
- Lead quality control initiatives for outgoing shipments, including weight verification and damage prevention
- Train new packers on SOPs and warehouse management software (WMS)
- Optimize packing processes to reduce material costs by 10% quarterly
- Collaborate with supervisors to meet daily throughput targets of 150+ orders
- Implement lean principles to minimize warehouse waste and improve efficiency
Qualifications
- 3+ years of high-volume order packing experience in temperature-controlled environments
- OSHA Forklift Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Proficiency in WMS systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and barcode scanning technology
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and stand for 8-hour shifts
- Strong mathematical aptitude for inventory reconciliation
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification preferred
- Valid Nebraska driver's license with clean record
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable
