The Role
We are seeking a visionary engineer to lead our Quantum Algorithm division. You will be tasked with developing, testing, and deploying quantum machine learning models on our proprietary superconducting qubit processors.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms specifically tailored for machine learning tasks, such as quantum support vector machines and variational quantum eigensolvers.
- Optimize quantum circuits for near-term quantum devices (NISQ) to maximize qubit fidelity and reduce error rates.
- Bridge the gap between quantum hardware capabilities and software application requirements.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of quantum models against classical baselines.
- Collaborate with the hardware team to identify bottlenecks in qubit coherence and algorithmic efficiency.
- Write comprehensive documentation and patents for novel quantum architectures.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on Quantum Mechanics.
- 3+ years of experience in quantum computing, machine learning, or related fields.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and Qiskit or Cirq.
- Deep understanding of linear algebra, probability theory, and statistical mechanics.
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum Experience, Amazon Braket, Google Cirq).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, experimental environment.
