Responsibilities
- Design quantum algorithms for Shor's and Grover's implementations on superconducting qubits
- Develop error mitigation protocols for 1000+ qubit systems
- Optimize quantum circuit compilation for IBM and Rigetti backends
- Create hybrid quantum-classical ML pipelines for drug discovery
- Lead patent development for quantum encryption techniques
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Collaborate with DARPA on post-quantum cryptography standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 5+ years experience)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or error correction
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum hardware
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Track record of open-source quantum contributions
- Familiarity with cloud quantum computing platforms (AWS Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Security clearance preferred for government projects
