Responsibilities
- Coordinate full-cycle shipping operations across air, rail, truck, and ocean freight channels
- Optimize route planning and carrier selection to minimize transit times and costs
- Manage customs documentation and compliance for international shipments
- Implement inventory control systems for 50,000+ sq ft warehouse operations
- Leverage TMS software to track shipments and resolve transit exceptions
- Lead cross-functional teams with warehouse, procurement, and client relations
- Analyze shipping KPIs to identify continuous improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in freight/shipping coordination with multi-modal exposure
- Expert proficiency in TMS platforms (e.g., SAP TM, Oracle Transportation)
- Deep knowledge of INCOTERMS and customs regulations (FDA, USDA, CBP)
- Strong negotiation skills with LTL/FTL carriers and freight forwarders
- Proven track record in reducing shipping costs by 15%+
- Professional certification (CSCP, CTL, or CILT) preferred
- Ability to manage high-volume shipments (500+ monthly)
