Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end shipping documentation (BOLs, customs forms, commercial invoices)
- Coordinate multi-modal transportation (air, ocean, ground) for 50+ daily shipments
- Track and resolve transit delays using TMS platforms and carrier communications
- Optimize container loading and route planning to reduce costs by 15%
- Collaborate with customs brokers to ensure compliance with US import/export regulations
- Train junior staff on shipping SOPs and compliance protocols
- Generate weekly performance reports for logistics management
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in freight forwarding or logistics coordination
- Expertise in Incoterms® 2020 and customs clearance procedures
- Proficiency in TMS systems (e.g., Oracle Transportation, Descartes)
- OSHA Hazmat certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Strong analytical skills with Excel/Power BI for data visualization
- Ability to work under pressure during peak shipping seasons
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred for Latin American routes
