Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping operations including documentation, customs clearance, and carrier negotiations
- Optimize freight routing and scheduling to minimize transit times and costs
- Manage relationships with port authorities, customs brokers, and international shipping partners
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate warehouse activities to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Implement and maintain compliance with international shipping regulations and safety standards
- Analyze shipping metrics and identify opportunities for process improvements
- Train junior staff on logistics procedures and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in shipping coordination or logistics operations
- Proficiency in TMS/WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Certification in international trade (e.g., CITT, CSCP) preferred
- Deep understanding of INCOTERMS and import/export regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
