Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping processes for international and domestic freight, including carrier selection, documentation, and customs clearance
- Monitor inventory levels and implement JIT strategies to minimize warehousing costs while maintaining 99.5% on-time delivery rates
- Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable rates with carriers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, procurement, warehouse) to resolve logistics bottlenecks
- Maintain compliance with DOT, IATA, and international shipping regulations
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in our WMS/TMS systems
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in shipping coordination or logistics management
- Proficiency with TMS/WMS platforms (SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan preferred)
- Certified Customs Broker (CBP) or ISTA certification preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot table capabilities
- Strong negotiation skills demonstrated through carrier rate reductions
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- Experience managing hazardous materials and temperature-controlled shipments
