Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping processes including documentation, customs clearance, and carrier management
- Optimize freight routes and negotiate rates with ocean, air, and ground carriers
- Track shipments in real-time and proactively resolve transit delays
- Maintain compliance with international trade regulations (ITAR, EAR, FTA)
- Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams for seamless operations
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives in shipping workflows
- Generate monthly performance reports and KPI analysis
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in shipping/logistics coordination
- Proficiency in WMS/TMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or Descartes)
- Certified Customs Broker (CBP) or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret Incoterms 2020
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
- Experience managing LCL/FCL shipments and hazardous materials
- Knowledge of Virginia Beach port operations a plus
