Responsibilities
- Coordinate full-cycle shipments (booking to delivery) for 50+ daily domestic/international freight movements
- Optimize container loading plans using TOS software to maximize vessel space utilization
- Liaise with customs brokers, carriers, and warehouse teams to resolve clearance delays
- Generate BOLs, customs documentation, and compliance reports in SAP
- Lead cross-functional logistics meetings to resolve bottlenecks and SLA issues
- Train new coordinators on SOPs and regulatory requirements (FMC, IMO)
- Analyze KPIs to implement cost-reduction strategies
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in port/shipping coordination (Norfolk/Virginia Beach preferred)
- Expertise in TOS systems (Navisphere, INTTRA) and EDI platforms
- HTS classification and customs compliance certification (ACE/ACE eManifest)
- OSHA Hazmat handling certification
- Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and Power BI skills
- Proven track record of reducing transit times by 15%+
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Logistics
