Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipment lifecycle from booking to final delivery
- Negotiate rates with carriers and manage freight documentation (BOLs, customs forms)
- Track shipments in real-time using TMS software and resolve transit delays
- Liaise with customs brokers and ensure compliance with international trade regulations
- Optimize container loading and warehouse space utilization
- Generate shipment reports and KPI dashboards for leadership
- Train junior coordinators on best practices and software systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in ocean/air freight coordination
- Proficiency in TMS platforms (e.g., Descartes, 3G) and Microsoft Excel
- Certification in Customs Brokerage (ACE) or equivalent preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to handle multi-carrier shipments
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Knowledge of Incoterms 2020 and FMC regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
