Responsibilities
- Coordinate full shipping lifecycle: order processing, carrier selection, documentation (BOLs, customs forms), and tracking
- Optimize freight routes and negotiate contracts with 3PLs and ocean/air carriers
- Manage customs compliance for international shipments and maintain compliance records
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and exceptions proactively through carrier communication
- Analyze shipping KPIs to reduce transit times and improve on-time delivery rates
- Collaborate with warehouse team for dock scheduling and load optimization
- Implement and maintain WMS/TMS system functionalities for shipping operations
Qualifications
- 3+ years in shipping/logistics coordination with direct LCL/FCL experience
- Proficiency in customs brokerage and international trade regulations (ITAR, HTSUS)
- Advanced skills in TMS/WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan Active preferred)
- Strong negotiation abilities with carriers and 3PL partners
- Certified Customs Broker or CSCP designation highly desirable
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for complex logistics exceptions
- Ability to manage high-volume shipments with 99.5% accuracy
