Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping operations including documentation, carrier selection, and customs clearance
- Optimize freight routes and negotiate contracts with 3PLs and carriers
- Monitor shipment status proactively and resolve transit delays
- Implement inventory control systems for warehouse-to-transport handoffs
- Ensure strict compliance with DOT, IATA, and international trade regulations
- Manage hazardous materials shipments with proper certification
- Analyze logistics KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- 3+ years in logistics/shipping coordination with LTL/FTL experience
- Proficient in TMS platforms (Manhattan, SAP, or Oracle)
- OSHA Hazmat certification required
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision making
- Excellent communication for cross-functional team collaboration
- Ability to manage high-volume shipments under tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred
