Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping processes including freight booking, documentation, and carrier negotiations
- Manage inventory control and warehouse operations for 50+ daily shipments
- Implement cost-effective routing strategies to reduce transportation expenses by 15%
- Collaborate with customs brokers for international shipments and compliance
- Utilize TMS software to track shipments and resolve delivery exceptions
- Train junior staff on shipping protocols and safety procedures
- Analyze logistics KPIs to identify optimization opportunities
Qualifications
- 3+ years of shipping/logistics coordination experience with LTL/FTL carriers
- Proficiency in TMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or Blue Yonder preferred)
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Strong analytical skills with experience in route optimization
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-departmental coordination
- Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with customs documentation (CBP Form 7512)
- Associate degree in Supply Chain or related field required
