Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipping activities including order processing, documentation, and carrier selection
- Manage inventory tracking and warehouse logistics to optimize stock levels
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and communicate with clients/customers proactively
- Collaborate with customs brokers for international shipments
- Maintain compliance with DOT, IATA, and hazardous material regulations
- Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Train junior staff on shipping protocols and software systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in shipping coordination or logistics management
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or TMS)
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Associate's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management preferred
- Forklift certification and OSHA 30-hour training a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours during peak shipping seasons
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
