Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping operations for domestic and international freight using our proprietary logistics management system
- Liaise with carriers, customs brokers, and warehouse personnel to ensure timely cargo clearance and delivery
- Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation including bills of lading, customs forms, and compliance records
- Optimize transportation routes and schedules to minimize costs while meeting delivery SLAs
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement teams to prevent stockouts during peak shipping seasons
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance shipping efficiency and reduce transit times
- Act as primary point of contact for clients regarding shipment status, documentation requirements, and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in shipping coordination or logistics operations within port environments
- Proficiency in logistics software (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Deep understanding of INCOTERMS, customs regulations, and international shipping protocols
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships
- Certified Customs Broker (CBP) or CSCP certification strongly preferred
- Proven ability to analyze complex shipping scenarios and implement efficient solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to navigate unexpected disruptions in supply chains
- Valid California driver's license and clean driving record
