Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including documentation, customs clearance, and carrier negotiations
- Track and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and optimize warehouse space
- Collaborate with sales and production teams to align shipping schedules with customer demands
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and provide real-time shipment status updates to stakeholders
- Implement cost-effective shipping strategies while maintaining service quality standards
- Conduct regular audits of shipping processes to identify improvement opportunities
- Maintain compliance with DOT, IATA, and international shipping regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse coordination
- Proficiency with WMS/TMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, and shipping documentation
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Forklift certification (OSHA certification a plus)
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in logistics preferred
