Responsibilities
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, trucking companies, and customs brokers to arrange domestic and international shipping.
- Track shipments in real-time to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any logistical issues immediately.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts for outbound orders.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients regarding shipment status and delays.
- Analyze shipping costs and negotiate rates with carriers to optimize budget.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Strong working knowledge of Incoterms and import/export regulations.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a high-volume setting.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in documentation and data entry.
- Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel to the Port of Long Beach as needed.
