Responsibilities
- Order Fulfillment: Process and coordinate shipping orders, ensuring all documentation (Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices) is accurate and compliant with regulations.
- Carrier Management: Negotiate rates and schedules with third-party logistics providers and freight carriers to optimize costs.
- Tracking & Communication: Monitor shipment progress in real-time and provide timely updates to internal stakeholders and external customers regarding delivery status.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damage claims, and transit delays efficiently.
- Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure inventory is staged correctly for outbound logistics.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with shipping software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan) is highly preferred.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with diverse teams.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain high data accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs and operate in a warehouse setting.
