Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping processes for automotive components, including documentation, carrier selection, and route optimization
- Manage shipment tracking systems to proactively address delays and maintain real-time visibility
- Liaise with customs brokers to ensure compliance with international trade regulations
- Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Resolve transportation discrepancies through effective communication with suppliers and clients
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate loading and unloading procedures
- Maintain compliance with DOT, OSHA, and hazardous material handling standards
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in freight coordination or logistics management
- Proficiency in TMS platforms (e.g., Oracle Transportation, SAP) and MS Office Suite
- Strong understanding of Incoterms and international shipping regulations
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Valid Michigan driver's license and clean driving record
- Forklift certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours during peak shipping seasons
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred
