Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments across multiple carriers and modes (air, ground, rail)
- Manage shipping documentation (bills of lading, customs forms, manifests) with 100% accuracy
- Optimize freight costs through carrier negotiations and route planning
- Monitor shipment status proactively and resolve transit delays
- Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customs teams for smooth operations
- Maintain compliance with DOT and international shipping regulations
- Utilize TMS/WMS systems for real-time tracking and reporting
Qualifications
- 3+ years of shipping/logistics coordination experience
- Proficiency in TMS/WMS software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Manhattan Active)
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, and hazardous materials
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Problem-solving aptitude for resolving shipment disruptions
- High school diploma; logistics certification preferred
