Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping operations for international and domestic freight
- Manage documentation compliance including customs forms, bills of lading, and certificates of origin
- Optimize container loading and route planning for maximum efficiency
- Monitor shipment tracking and proactively resolve transit delays
- Liaise with carriers, customs brokers, and warehouse personnel
- Implement cost-saving strategies for transportation and logistics
- Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS software
- Generate monthly shipping performance reports for stakeholders
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in shipping coordination or logistics operations
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., Oracle TMS, Descartes)
- OSHA/FMCSA certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS 2020 and customs regulations
- Exceptional problem-solving and multitasking abilities
- Fluent in English and Spanish (bilingual preferred)
- Valid California driver's license
- Associate degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
