Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international freight shipments via air, sea, and land.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Track shipments in real-time and proactively resolve delays or issues with carriers.
- Manage inventory levels within the shipping department and ensure accurate stock records.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients regarding shipment status and logistics requirements.
- Process incoming and outgoing deliveries and manage the receiving dock schedule.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite (Excel is essential).
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, hazardous materials handling, and import/export compliance.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
