As a Shipping Coordinator, you will serve as the bridge between our warehouse operations and our clients. You will ensure that every shipment leaves our dock on time, is accurately documented, and reaches its destination safely. Responsibilities
- Coordinate Shipping Processes: Manage the full lifecycle of shipment preparation, including picking, packing, labeling, and dispatching freight.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs paperwork to ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Carrier Liaison: Communicate effectively with third-party logistics providers and freight carriers to track shipments, resolve delays, and optimize delivery routes.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels within the shipping department to ensure accurate stock availability and reduce shipping errors.
- Data Entry & Reporting: Maintain accurate records in our logistics management software and generate daily reports on shipping performance and KPIs.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damage claims, and customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Business or Logistics preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Manhattan) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors in documentation and shipping labels to prevent costly mistakes.
- Organization: Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
