Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments including LTL, FTL, and air freight
- Manage documentation (BOLs, customs forms, commercial invoices) for compliance
- Track and trace shipments using TMS platforms like Oracle Transportation Management
- Optimize routing and carrier selection to minimize costs and transit times
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and provide proactive client updates
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for accurate loading and inventory control
- Maintain compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and international trade regulations
- Generate shipment reports and KPI dashboards for management review
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in shipping coordination or logistics operations
- Proficiency in TMS software and MS Office Suite (Excel essential)
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms 2020 and customs clearance processes
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills with carriers
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Valid Michigan driver's license and clean MVR (for occasional site visits)
- Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred
- Forklift certification a plus
