Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily inbound/outbound shipments via LTL, FTL, and expedited carriers
- Manage documentation: BOLs, customs forms, and compliance paperwork
- Optimize routing and carrier selection to minimize transit costs
- Track shipments in real-time and provide proactive client updates
- Resolve transportation disruptions and maintain SLA compliance
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for efficient dock scheduling
- Analyze shipping metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities
Qualifications
- 3+ years in shipping/transportation coordination
- Proficiency in TMS platforms (Manhattan, Descartes preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms and export regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to prioritize high-volume, time-sensitive operations
- Associates degree in logistics or supply chain management
- Forklift certification (OSHA 10-hour)
- Experience with LTL rating engines
