Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments, tracking all documentation and compliance requirements
- Optimize freight routes and negotiate rates with carriers to reduce transportation costs
- Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate warehouse receiving/shipping schedules
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and provide real-time shipment status updates to stakeholders
- Collaborate with sales and production teams to align shipping timelines with customer demands
- Implement and maintain shipping protocols ensuring OSHA and DOT compliance
- Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in shipping/logistics coordination within distribution or manufacturing
- Proficiency in WMS/TMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of domestic/international shipping regulations and documentation
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience negotiating contracts with freight carriers
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred
