Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping operations across air, sea, and ground transport channels
- Manage documentation compliance (BOLs, commercial invoices, customs forms)
- Optimize freight routing to minimize costs while meeting delivery SLAs
- Resolve shipment exceptions through proactive carrier communication
- Maintain real-time shipment visibility via TMS dashboard
- Collaborate with warehouse team on dock scheduling and load planning
- Analyze shipping KPIs and implement process improvements
- Train new staff on shipping protocols and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Associate degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years shipping coordination experience with LCL/FCL shipments
- Expert knowledge of INCOTERMS, customs regulations, and hazardous materials handling
- Advanced proficiency in logistics software (SAP, Oracle, or similar TMS)
- Strong analytical skills with experience optimizing freight spend
- Certified Logistics Professional (CLP) designation preferred
- Excellent cross-departmental communication abilities
- Ability to manage high-volume shipments during peak seasons
