Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping processes, including documentation preparation and customs clearance
- Manage carrier relationships and negotiate freight rates for optimal cost efficiency
- Monitor shipment tracking and proactively resolve transit delays
- Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate warehouse operations
- Collaborate with sales teams to provide shipping cost estimates and delivery timelines
- Ensure compliance with DOT, IATA, and international shipping regulations
- Generate monthly performance reports and identify process improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in logistics or shipping coordination
- Proficiency in shipping software (e.g., Oracle TMS, Descartes) and MS Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS, customs procedures, and hazardous materials handling
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to work under tight deadlines
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and clean driving record
- Associate degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred
- Forklift certification a plus
