Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic/international shipments through LTL, FTL, and air freight carriers
- Manage dock operations, including loading/unloading schedules and equipment allocation
- Maintain accurate shipping documentation (BOLs, invoices, customs forms)
- Optimize routes and negotiate freight rates to minimize costs
- Resolve logistics disruptions through proactive carrier communication
- Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams for order fulfillment excellence
- Implement compliance with DOT and international shipping regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in logistics/shipping coordination
- Proficiency in TMS systems (Manhattan, Descartes preferred)
- OSHA Hazmat certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Strong analytical skills for route optimization and cost analysis
- Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder coordination
- Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
- Ability to lift 50lbs and work in variable warehouse conditions
