Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping operations including documentation, customs clearance, and carrier selection
- Track and monitor shipments in real-time using TMS software, resolving delays proactively
- Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure compliance
- Manage inventory levels and warehouse receiving/distribution activities
- Prepare shipping documentation (BOLs, commercial invoices, certificates of origin)
- Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve shipping discrepancies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in shipping coordination or logistics operations
- Proficiency in TMS/WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of domestic/international shipping regulations (DOT, IATA, CBP)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred
- Experience negotiating with carriers and managing freight contracts
- Valid Texas driver's license (for occasional warehouse visits)
