Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping processes including documentation, customs clearance, and carrier scheduling
- Optimize freight routes and negotiate rates with domestic/international carriers
- Track shipments in real-time and proactively resolve transit delays
- Maintain compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and international shipping regulations
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate loading and unloading procedures
- Generate shipping reports and analyze logistics performance metrics
- Build relationships with port authorities, customs brokers, and freight forwarders
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in freight forwarding or shipping coordination
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., Oracle SCM, SAP TM) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms 2020 and customs documentation processes
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Valid Florida driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends during peak shipping seasons
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred
