Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international shipping schedules via air, rail, and freight carriers
- Manage documentation (BOLs, customs forms, certificates of origin) with 100% accuracy
- Track shipments in real-time using TMS platforms and provide proactive status updates
- Negotiate rates with carriers and optimize routing to reduce transportation costs
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and collaborate with customs brokers for clearance
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for efficient dock scheduling and load planning
- Maintain compliance with DOT, IATA, and international shipping regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in freight coordination or supply chain operations
- Proficiency with TMS systems (e.g., Oracle Transportation, Descartes)
- Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS and customs documentation requirements
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Valid California driver's license preferred
- Forklift certification a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred
