Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipping activities, including order processing, documentation, and carrier selection
- Track shipments in real-time and proactively resolve transit delays
- Manage inventory levels and optimize warehouse space utilization
- Collaborate with customs brokers for international shipments
- Generate shipping reports and maintain compliance with DOT/FDA regulations
- Implement cost-effective shipping strategies to reduce operational expenses
- Train new staff on logistics software and procedures
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in logistics/shipping coordination
- Proficiency with WMS/TMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred
- Forklift certification a plus
