Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire shipping lifecycle, from order intake and scheduling to final delivery and invoicing.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers and freight carriers to secure capacity and resolve transit delays.
- Maintain precise records of shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, customs declarations, and packing lists.
- Analyze shipping metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to optimize operational efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to local, state, and federal transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients regarding shipment status and logistics updates.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or freight forwarding.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong working knowledge of shipping regulations, Incoterms, and DOT compliance requirements.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Associate’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred; high school diploma required.
