Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping operations including documentation, customs clearance, and carrier scheduling
- Optimize freight routes and negotiate contracts with ocean, air, and ground carriers
- Manage inventory tracking and warehouse coordination for seamless handoffs
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and mitigate delays through proactive communication
- Collaborate with international partners to ensure compliance with trade regulations
- Utilize logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS) for real-time shipment tracking
- Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in logistics/shipping coordination with port exposure
- Proficiency in customs documentation (HTS, NAFTA, CTPAT)
- Expertise in TMS/WMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong negotiation skills with carriers and freight forwarders
- Certification in logistics (CLM, CPL) or supply chain management preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities under tight deadlines
- Knowledge of hazardous materials shipping regulations (DOT, IATA)
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
